The British-based Heath Quartet have this week announced violinist Sara Wolstenholme as their new 2nd violinist.

A graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, Royal College of Music and the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, Sarah is a former leader of the Finzi String Quartet and has served Guest Principal positions with the English Symphony Orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

She will replace long-service violinist Cerys Jones - who stepped down from the ensemble in November last year to pursue new musical collaborations and to allow herself more time with her young family.
