Israeli composer and conductor Ami Maayani has passed away - age 82

Israeli composer and conductor Ami Maayani has passed away - age 82.

A graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music, where he studied violin, viola and composition with Paul Ben-Haim and Eitan Lustig, he served as founder and conductor of the Brazil National Youth Orchestra and the Tel Aviv Youth Orchestra - and was the long time Chairman of the Israel Composers’ League
