City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Announces New Assistant Conductor

The City of Birmingham Symphony has announced the appointment of conductor Jaume Santonja Espinós as its new Assistant Conductor

The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, in England, has announced the appointment of 31-year-old Spanish conductor Jaume Santonja Espinós as its new Assistant Conductor.

A graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, Jaume currently serves as Principal Percussionist with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra - and as Assistant Conductor of Spain's Orquesta de Extremadura.

Jaume was chosen unanimously by the audition panel, the orchestra has indicated.
