Conductor Jonathan Nott Named New Artistic Director of Orchestre de la Suisse Romande

British conductor Jonathan Nott has today been announced as the new Music and Artistic Director of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
“His thorough approach to the score, close work with the musicians and deep desire to dedicate himself to an orchestra in the long term will give new impetus to our orchestra,” Orchestra Board President Florence Notter has said.
Maestro Nott, 52 has served Principal Conducting positions with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchcestra and the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie – and will replace Neeme Jarvi, who will stand down from the position at the end of the current season.
