MEET THE PROS | VC 'Young Artist' Josef Spacek, Czech Philharmonic Concertmaster – 'VC 20 Questions' [VIDEO]

The Violin Channel recently caught up with Czech Philharmonic Concertmaster Josef Spacek, in Prague – as the orchestra was making their final preparations before embarking on their first US tour in 6 years.

We sat the 28 year old VC 'Young Artist' down for a fun game of 'VC 20 Questions' – to help gain some fascinating insight into the man behind the music.

A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and the Juilliard School, where he studied with Ida Kavafian, Jaime Laredo and Itzhak Perlman, Josef is a former prize winner at the Kocian and Carl Neilsen International Violin Competitions – and a former 1st prize winner at the Michael Hill International Violin Competition. He has served as Co-Concertmaster of the Czech Philharmonic since 2010.
