The Kalamazoo Symphony has this week announced the appointment of violinist Jun-Ching Lin as its new Concertmaster
The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, in Michigan, United States, has this week announced the appointment of violinist Jun-Ching Lin as its new Concertmaster.
A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and the Cleveland Institute of Music, Lin currently serves as Assistant Concertmaster of the Atlanta Symphony, Concertmaster of the Atlanta Opera - and as Guest Concertmaster with the Florida, Fort Worth and Phoenix Symphony Orchestras.
"I am honored and grateful to be joining the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra as Concertmaster ... every time I visit Kalamazoo I am struck by what a vital arts scene it has ... and how warm the people are," Jun-Ching has today told The Violin Channel.
"We are so fortunate to be able to appoint Jun-Ching Lin as our new Concertmaster ..." Kalamazoo Symphony President Peter H. Gistelinck has said.
"We are looking forward to this new and very exciting artistic collaboration that definitely will have a great positive impact on our Orchestra," he has said.
