Kronberg Academy and Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne Announce Long-Term Collaboration
Kronberg Academy students will appear as soloists with the orchestra starting in the Fall of 2025
The Kronberg Academy in Germany, has announced a new long-term partnership with the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, one of Europe’s most distinguished and forward-looking orchestras.
Starting in the 2025/26 season, selected Kronberg Academy students will have the opportunity to appear as soloists with the orchestra in concerts at the Kölner Philharmonie. This new platform offers invaluable professional experience and artistic development for emerging musicians, while simultaneously enriching the orchestra’s programs with fresh voices from the next generation.
Under the leadership of newly appointed chief conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada, the Gürzenich Orchestra is intensifying its commitment to nurturing young talent. The collaboration reflects both institutions’ shared mission to combine musical excellence with social and cultural responsibility.
The partnership will span five seasons and is part of a broader artistic vision that also includes a newly launched composition competition.
The first concerts will take place in the Fall of 2025 — marking the beginning of an inspiring journey for young soloists and a powerful alliance between tradition and innovation.
