Kronberg Academy to Stream Weekly Concerts on The Violin Channel
Starting Wednesday, March 13, The Violin Channel will present weekly concerts featuring the talented students of the Kronberg Academy
The Violin Channel is excited to announce a new streaming series with Germany's Kronberg Academy, entitled "Kronberg Academy Young Virtuosi Series." Every Wednesday at 12 PM (ET), audiences can watch an hour-long concert featuring the Academy's students from the Professional Studies program and the Sir András Schiff Performance Program for Young Pianists.
Recorded at the Carl Bechstein Hall, the recital programs are designed by the young artists themselves, and often feature their friends from the Academy’s Bachelor and Master programs performing alongside them.
"The Wednesday concerts series is about the process of creating, curating, and organizing the student's own concerts," Friedemann Eichhorn, Artistic Director of Kronberg Academy, told The Violin Channel. "They have to think about their individual program, who they will be playing with, and what could be attractive from the audience’s point of view. Another major aspect to consider is how to explain/moderate the program so that the audience understands why the artist has chosen these pieces or themes. Also, the students learn what it takes to organize a concert — whether it's marketing, lighting, and much more. These experiences are vital for them and will help in their future career. And yes, they do enjoy the process!"

The series will start on Wednesday, March 13 at 12 PM (ET) with a concert by cellist Anouchka Hack, who has been studying at Kronberg Academy since 2020 with renowned artist Frans Helmerson. Her concert, entitled “Morgen!” (Tomorrow!) promises audiences a colorful program of classical concert pieces, spoken word, and popular traditional music. Pianist Katharina Hack, Artem Zolotarov, and cellists LiLa, Minji Kim, Oliver Herbert, and Petar Pejčić will join her.
The following week, on March 20, tune in to hear South Korean cellist Jaemin Han, who has been studying in Kronberg with Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt since 2023. Titled “Passion and Dream,” Jaemin's program includes Francis Poulenc’s Sonata for Cello and Piano, which he will perform with pianist Do-Hyun Kim, and Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No 2 in C minor, Op 66 with Kim and violinist Hana Chang.
Further concerts will be announced soon.
When asked about the inspiration behind this concert series, Eichhorn added, "We want to help our young talents sharpen their profile, position themselves in the public eye, and win the hearts of the audience. Therefore, it is imperative to know what it takes when producing film and audio in today´s modern world. Social Media, Instagram, and videos are important platforms for them. We think it is so very crucial to gain experience and insights into these topics as early as possible and understand how to handle them in their favor."
