Leading Artist Managers Launch New Mentorship Program
Artist managers from various agencies including Opus 3 Artists have announced a pro-bono mentorship program
Alex Fletcher and Sarah Fraser from Fletcher Artist Management, Sam Snook from IMG Artists, and Nathan Wentworth from Opus 3 Artists have introduced a pro-bono mentorship program for aspiring artist managers and entrepreneurs.
This volunteer-led initiative was created to address a dwindling field of artist managers and provides practical guidance on how to launch and manage an independent artist management business.
Those selected will participate in a series of online roundtable conversations led by the mentorship team. Topics will include what a manager/agent position involves; starting/forming a business; developing a network; building a successful roster; and differences in Europe/North American markets.
Ideal candidates for the program are “individuals who demonstrate serious and motivated interest in opening an artist management firm” and applicants specifically focused on developing their own rosters.
To apply, email [email protected] with relevant support materials (resume, biography, etc.).
Applications will be received on a rolling basis and are subject to interest andthe number of applicants.
“Artist management is a tremendously rewarding industry,” said Alex Fletcher, President of Fletcher Artist Management. “Now more than ever, quality artist managers are a valuable part of the classical music ecosystem. As a group, we seek to address one of the main barriers for entry in artist management: industry knowledge and practical know-how, and empower interested individuals to join us in this dynamic field.”
