Veteran American artist manager Lee Lamont has passed away - aged 86

Veteran American artist manager Lee Lamont has passed away - aged 86.

Ms Lamont served as President of ICM Artists (later remained Opus 3 Artists) from 1985 until 1995 - her famed clients including Yo Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, Gil Shaham, Midori, Gidon Kremer, Isaac Stern, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Claudio Arrau, Wynton Marsalis, Yefim Bronfman, Mariss Jansons, Radu Lupu, Andres Segovia and James Galway.

She previously held positions at Sol Hurok Management and Columbia Artists Management - and as a personal assistant to violinist Issac Stern.

Ms Lamont had served as Chairman Emeritus with Opus 3 Artists since her retirement in 2002.
