The Los Angeles Philharmonic has this week announced the cancellation of all performances at Walt Disney Concert Hall through to December 31st, 2020 – due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

Since canceling performances at Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl, the LA Phil is expected to lose in excess of $90 million in revenue.

“While this news may not be surprising given the events of the past few months, it is heartbreaking, nonetheless … sharing in the communal experience of live music is at the heart of what we do, and we know it is a vital part of your life too,” a spokesperson for the orchestra has this week said.

The orchestra has indicated that all 2020/21 subscription packages will be moved into the 2021/22 season.
