MaestroArts Arts Management to Merge with Sulivan Sweetland Agency
Sulivan Sweetman's team and artists will come under the banner of MaestroArts
A merger is taking place between MaestroArts and Sulivan Sweetman, seeing the two British management agencies come together to form one mid-size company. Sulivan Sweetman's staff and artists will be absorbed into the MaestroArts brand on June 1, 2023, and the new company will comprise a staff of 20.
The company's post-merger roster now contains violinists Chloë Hanslip, Stefan Jackiw, and Jonian Ilias Kadesha. Other artists on the agency's roster include cellists Leonard Elschenbroich and Raphaela Gromes, pianists Ronald Brautigam and Grigory Solokov, and mandolin player Avi Avital.
"Emerging from the pandemic and in a climate of general negativity within the classical music profession, this is precisely the time to invest in the future and to take bold steps," said Jordi Martín Mont, the Managing Director of MaestroArts. "Bringing these two teams together creates an exciting sense of renewal by opening new opportunities for creative thinking and collaboration."
"Angela and I are excited about this new chapter, both for our artists and us," said Emma Sweetland. "Having collaborated with Rachel, Jordi and Tom over many years, as well as serving on the board of IAMA with Rachel, I have long admired their creative, strategic approach to artist management. Our companies share a nurturing, bespoke ethos and this development feels both natural and compelling."
