"The original idea was to produce a MIDI controlled music machine that could play any song," the creator said.

"It ended up being extremely difficult to control, as the human trombone player produces the tone in combination with lip tension, pressure against the mouthpiece, air flow, air pressure and resonance. The lip part proved too hard to recreate."
