Prizes Awarded at Dutch Oskar Back Violin Competition

24 year old Scottish-born violinist Michael Foyle has been awarded 1st prize at the 2016 Oskar Back Violin Competition, in Utrecht, Holland.

A student of Pavel Vernikov at the Vienna Conservatory, Michael will receive €12,000 (US $14,000) - and a number of European performance opportunities.

Joint 2nd-prize was awarded to Elise Besemer and Pieter van Loenen.
