New Network of Master Luthiers Created in Cremona
Presented by Le Dimore del Quartetto and Fondazione Museo del Violino Antonio Stradivari, this international map is one of the first networks connecting luthiers with promising musicians.
The concept of the new project was founded on two principles. One, to enhance the art of master luthiers by targeting a specific audience, and two, to assist young musicians in getting access to high-quality instruments at the start of their careers.
The String Circle aims to facilitate the international exchange between these two parties, promoting their professional and artistic growth.
The inspiration behind the project came from the idea of Le Dimore del Quartetto, a network that supports 90 young string quartets and chamber music groups at the beginning of their careers.
The Fondazione Museo del Violino Antonio Stradivari will assist in the researching and mapping of the artisan luthiers, many of which have received awards of international prestige.
