SAD NEWS | New York City Opera Violinist, Kate Light Has Passed Away

A graduate of the Eastman School of Music and Hunter College, she served in the New York City Opera Orchestra - and held a longterm teaching position at Hunter College

New York City-based violinist, Kate Light has died - after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.

A graduate of the Eastman School of Music and Hunter College, she served in the New York City Opera Orchestra - and held a longterm teaching position at Hunter College.

In addition, Kate was a accomplished librettist, lyricist and poet.

Our condolences are with her family, friends, colleagues and students.
