VC Artists Notos Quartett has been awarded 1st prize at the 2016 Almere International Chamber Music Competition
VC Artists Notos Quartett has been awarded 1st prize at the 2016 Almere International Chamber Music Competition, in Almere, Holland.
Comprising violinist Sindri Lederer, violist Andrea Burger, cellist Philip Graham and pianist Antonia Köster, the German-based piano quartet are former major prize winners at London’s ‘Parkhouse Award’, Holland’s ‘Charles-Hennen-Concours’, the Premio Vottorio Gui and the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition – and was recently awarded 1st prize at the 2016 Schoenfeld International String Competition.
The ensemble will receive 7500 EUR (US $8500)
The competition’s ‘Audience Prize' was awarded to the Trio Rodin.
