Ohio’s Akron Symphony Orchestra Announce New Concertmaster

The Akron Symphony has announced the appointment of New York-based violinist Tallie Brunfelt as their new Concertmaster

The Akron Symphony, in Akron, Ohio, United States has announced the appointment of New York-based violinist Tallie Brunfelt as their new Concertmaster.

A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, Tallie has previous held positions with the Allentown Symphony and Binghamton Philharmonic - and has served as Concertmaster of the US National Tours of ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ and ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.’

“Her sound, musicality and understanding of musical styles all stood out,” Akron Symphony Music Director Christopher Wilkins has said.

She will succeed Alan Bodman - who served the position for 22 years.
