Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra Appoints New Music Director

The Orchestre de Chambre du Luxembourg announced German conductor, Corinna Niemeyer, as its new Artistic and Music Director, effective this month
A graduate of the Hochschule der Kunste Zurich and the Munich, Karlsruhe, and Shanghai Conservatories, Corinna Niemeyer previously served as Assistant Conductor with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.
“This collaboration will allow the orchestra to grow musically while reaching new audiences in Luxembourg, in the Grande Region and beyond,” said the orchestra board today.
Recent highlights for Corinna have included concerts with the Gurzenich-Orchester, Konzerthausorchester Berlin and Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, projects with period orchestra Les Siècles, and a tour in Germany with the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie.
