Bright Shiny Things Records has this month announced the release of American composer and violist, Jessica Meyer‘s new album: ‘Ring Out’.

Recorded with violinist Miranda Cuckson, cellists Caleb Van Der Swaagh and Andrew Yee, countertenor Nicholas Tamagna, pianist Adam Marks and the Roomful of Teeth’ vocal octet, the disc features Jessica Meyer’s original works: ‘But Not Until’, ‘I Only Speak of the Sun’, ‘Released’, ‘Seasons of Basho’, ‘Only a Beginning’ and ‘Ring Out, Wild Bells’.

“When I began composing, I did not recognize at the time where this deep need to do so came from … I knew that I wrote music in response to events in my life, but I did not realize until recently that the process of becoming a composer was also the catalyst for growing into a new version of myself …” Jessica has told The Violin Channel.

“I would love listeners to come on this journey to see how certain sounds from strings and voices can express so very much about the human experience – from love, to death, to joy,” she has said.
