OUT NOW | Pirastro Unveils Two New Additions to the Perpetual Cello String Range
Pirastro Strings has announced the addition of two new variants to the Perpetual Cello String line - the new 'Perpetual A Soloist Strong' and 'Perpetual C Edition Strong'
Pirastro Strings, in Offenbach, Germany, has this month announced the addition of two new string variants to the Perpetual Cello String family - the new 'Perpetual A Soloist Strong' and 'Perpetual C Edition Strong'.
The two new strings, developed in collaboration with cellists Julius Berger, Claudio Bohórquez, Frans Helmerson, Mischa Maisky, Amit Peled and Jeffrey Zeigler, have been designed to further expand the tonal colour spectrum of the cello.
The new thicker A string has been designed for greater power and projection - whilst still offering a warm and focused sound free of metallic overtones.
The new C string has been purposely built for more power and a faster direct bow response.
"With its innovative technology and design, the new A string offers the warm tone and strong round sound that many cellists are looking for - and the slightly higher bow resistance provides enormous power and projection ..." Pirastro USA Marketing Manager Ed Mingo has this week told The Violin Channel.
"Our new C string offers a very powerful and strong core sound along with a deep and wonderful warm tone - making it the most sonorous C in our Pirastro program," he has said.
The new Pirastro Perpetual Cello Strings are available now in fine violin shops.
