American conductor and founder of the Chicago Sinfonietta, Paul Freeman has passed away– aged 79.
Remembered as one of America's leading conductors, he held positions with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Symphony, Helsinki Philharmonic, Victoria Symphony and the Czech National Symphony Orchestra – and served for 24 year as the founder and Music Director of the Chicago Sinfonietta.
