Peruvian Violinist Norman Bernal Has Died from COVID-19, Age 75

Residing in Georgia since 1979, Mr. Bernal was a long time member of the Atlantis String Quartet


Born in Lima, Mr. Bernal came to the United States for his education. He attended the Southern Adventist University, Andrews University, and Ball State University in Indiana.

He taught violin and general music classes in the the Georgia public school system.

“I remember him being so patient. Teaching middle schoolers might not have been his first love, but he did it well,” said former student, Sara Hennessey.
