The London Symphony has Announced an 18 Year Old Principal Trombonist
The London Symphony Orchestra has today announced 18 year old Peter Moore as their new Co-Principal Trombone – the orchestra's youngest member in history.
Peter was awarded the 2008 BBC 'Young Musician of the Year' Grand Prize, aged just 12 – and has more recently served as a member of the LSO Training Academy.
A graduate of the Chetham's School of Music, Peter currently studies with former LSO principal trombonist Ian Bousfield - and has recently given recital performances at Wigmore Hall, The Bridgewater Hall, Royal Welsh College of Music and Leeds College of Music – and concerto engagements with the Polish Chamber Orchestra, Northern Chamber Orchestra, Brighton Philharmonic and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
