Pianist Alexander Malofeev Signs with Sony Classical
The 23-year-old Russian pianist will release his debut album in the fall of 2025
The Berlin-based Russian pianist Alexander Malofeev has signed an exclusive agreement with the Sony Classical label.
At just 23 years old, Malofeev has performed with orchestras including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, and many more.
In 2014, he won the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians at age thirteen.In addition, he garnered the Grand Prix at the 1st International Competition for Young Pianists Grand Piano in Moscow, and in 2017, he was announced as the first Yamaha Young Artist.
He has also been a guest at festivals such as the Verbier Festival, Tanglewood Music Festival, and Aspen Music Festival.
His debut album with Sony Classical will be released in the fall of 2025.
