Police Release Images of Stolen $70,000 Viola in Boston
Boston police have now identified a suspect and released security images of the man
Police have now released images pertaining to the theft of a $70,000 viola in Boston. The theft took place on the night of Sunday 27 August, 2023 between 2:00am and 3:50pm in the area of Glenville Avenue in Allston, Boston.
The instrument is 16.5 inches long and was housed in a BAM Black Panther case, which had three Boston University stickers and one Vivant Vintage sticker on its external shell.
The thief also stole the victim's passport and iPad Pro.
Police have identified a suspect connected with the theft from security footage. He is 30 to 40 years old, between 5-foot-9 and 6 feet, with a stocky build, dark-colored curly hair, a light mustache and beard, with dark blue tattoos on his forearms. He was last seen on near Harvard Avenue in Allston on September 15 and was wearing hoop earrings, a black t-shirt, dark blue shorts and white sneakers. He was riding a black e-scooter.
