Polish composer Witold Lutoslawski was born on this day in 1913 – 104 years ago.

Dying in 1994, Lutoslawski is remembered as one of the most influential European composers of the 20th Century.

His signature works include 4 symphonies, a ‘Concerto for Orchestra’ - and several instrumental concertos and orchestral song cycles.
