Rafale Trio & Arcadia Quartet Awarded 1st Prizes at Osaka International Competition

The Rafale Trio, from Switzerland and the Arcadia Quartet, from Romania have been awarded 1st prizes at the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition, in Japan.
Each ensemble will receive USD $30,000 – and a recital tour of Japan.
The Rafale Trio currently study privately with Eckardt Heiligers, in Zurich – whilst the Arcadia Quartet (pictured) are students of Nicușor Silaghi at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy, in Romania.
2nd prize in the String quartet division was awarded to the UK-based Cavalerti Quartet – with 3rd prize awarded to the Wasmuth Quartet from the United States.
