Romanian conductor Camil Marinescu has passed away from the COVID-19 virus - aged just 55

Romanian conductor Camil Marinescu has passed away from the COVID-19 virus - aged just 55.

A graduate of the National University of Music, in Bucharest, throughout his career Camil served as Resident Conductor at the Bucharest Opera, Principal Conductor of the George Enescu Philharmonic - and as Guest Conductor of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra.

Our condolences are with his family, friends and colleagues.
