Former Chicago Symphony violinist Fred Spector has passed away - aged 92

American violinist Fred Spector has passed away - aged 92.

A student of John Weicher, Leon Sametini, Paul Stassevitch and Henry Sopkin, he served as a section member with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from 1956 until his retirement in 2003.
