Soprano Anna Netrebko and Tenor Husband Yusif Eyvazov Have Separated
After a decade of marriage, the pair have announced their separation
According to ABC News, soprano Anna Netrebko and tenor Yusif Eyvazov have separated.
The two singers met in Rome in 2014 when they both performed in Puccini’s Manon Lescaut at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma; the pair were married in 2015.
Netrebko, 52, has a 15-year-old son from her relationship with bass-baritone Erwin Schrott — her partner from 2007-2013.
“After 10 happy years together, we have made the difficult but amicable decision to separate,” Netrebko and Eyvazov said in a statement issued by the former’s London-based manager. “We will remain wonderful friends, united in our love for Tiago, and look forward to our announced and future stage collaborations.”
The two are currently in a production of Turandot together at Milan’s Teatro alla Scala until July 6, 2024, and will be performing in Tosca at the Arena di Verona in August 2024.
Throughout the upcoming season, they are also set to perform at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Wiener Staatsoper, and Berlin State Opera.
