Stainer & Bell Secures Distribution Rights for Titles Released by Elgar Works Charity
A catalogue of Sir Edward Elgar’s music is now available to musicians, libraries, and researchers through a single distributor
Stainer & Bell is an independent music publisher founded in 1907, which has now signed a landmark worldwide distribution agreement for all titles by Elgar Works.
To preserve and promote the musical legacy of Sir Edward Elgar, the UK-registered charity Elgar Works researches and publishes detailed editions of Elgar’s music prepared by leading scholars and editors.
Its new agreement with Stainer & Bell is the first time that Elgar Works’ scholarly and authoritative editions will be available globally through one distributor.
Stainer & Bell will now make the full Elgar Works catalogue (the Elgar Complete Edition, the Edward Elgar Collected Correspondence and all associated rental materials and individual publications) available to performers, libraries, academics and music enthusiasts around the world.
This catalogue will also join Stainer & Bell’s distribution portfolio of major scholarly series such as The Byrd Edition, Purcell Society Editions, Early English Church Music, and Musica Britannica.
