An international alert has been issued for a 1919 Oreste Martini violin, stolen from a private home in Isola del Liri, Frosinone (near Rome, Italy) – on the evening of October 21st, 2015.
The instrument, valued at approximately €30,000 (US $33,000), was within a green Maurizio Riboni violin case – with a green velvet interior.
The instrument has a light brown finish – with a bridge constructed by John Eric Traelnes Maitre luthier.
No bows were in the case at the time.
