An alert has been issued in Berkeley, California, USA today for 8 German-made Heinrich Gill modern violins - stolen from the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel, at Berkeley Marina on January 17th, 2017.

The 2 stolen quad instrument cases contained 3 Heinrich Hill Model 54 violins, one Monza model, one LeMans model and two X7 violins.

The haul, made under the direction of German luthier Bernd Dimbath, is valued at over US $30,000.
