Sydney Opera House Honors Heroic Australian Firefighters

The Sydney Opera House has illuminated its sails with images of the firefighters currently battling the devastating bushfires across Australia

The Sydney Opera House, in Sydney, Australia has this week illuminated its sails with images of the firefighters currently battling the devastating bushfires across Australia.

"Tonight, we are illuminating the Sydney Opera House sails to show our support for everyone affected by the Australian bushfires .... we want to send a message of hope and strength, and importantly to thank the emergency services and volunteers for their incredible efforts and courage," the iconic building has this week said via social media.

A fundraising concert will be held at Sydney's City Recital Hall on the 30th of January - with all funds raised going directly to the bushfire appeal.

The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will also perform in a free outdoor concert on the 5th of February, 2020, in Melbourne, Australia - in solitary for the tragedy.

If you can assist, donations can be made via the Australian Red Cross and the WWF.
