Superstar tenor Andrea Bocelli has today announced that he has made a full recovery from COVID-19 that he and his family suffered from in March.
"The pandemic which has shaken the world has also affected – albeit mildly – me and certain members of my family ... we were fortunate enough to have made a swift and full recovery by the end of March ... " the 61-year-old blind singer has today said via social media.
"Out of respect for those for whom contracting the virus has had more serious consequences, I decided it would be best not to share the news at the time ... I certainly didn’t want to unnecessarily alarm my fans and also wished to protect my family’s privacy," he has said.
Last month, along with pianist Lang Lang and singers Celine Dion, Lady Gaga and John Legend, Andrea performed as a special guest at the World Health Organization's 'One World: Together At Home' broadcast.
