The Violin Society of America Announces 2023 Convention
The organization dedicated to creating and preserving stringed instruments will hold its 49th annual convention in Baltimore from November 15–18, 2023
Founded in 1973, the Violin Society of America (VSA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the art and science of crafting, repairing, and preserving stringed musical instruments and their bows.
Opening with a reception at 5 PM on November 15, 2023, the 49th annual VSA Convention will involve exhibits of new and rare instruments, concerts, trips, multi-topic presentations, plus demonstrations of instrument and bow restoration and crafting.
The convention will run for three days at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards until November 18. More events include a panel of past VSA Competition medal winners, and a discussion on currently endangered materials used for instrument-making.
