Violin Society of America's Grant Program is Accepting Applications
Letters of Inquiry for VSA grants should be received by September 1, 2023
The Violin Society of America (VSA), a non-profit that has been running since 1973, is inviting prospective applicants to submit a Letter of Inquiry for the Fall 2023 round of its VSA Grants. The VSA regularly offers this funding to its members, and awarded $4,500 to various projects in its most recent Spring round of grants.
Project proposals may come from individuals, groups, or organizations, and the VSA are particularly interested in projects that go beyond their usual scope — with a particular emphasis on projects that benefit VSA members and its wider community.
In the past, applications have often been in relation to publications, research, and education — though the grants are not limited to these areas.
The VSA's primary focus is on the art of making instruments and bows of the violin family, but it also reflects a broad range of interests and concerns relating to violins and those who make them.
Grant applicants should be members of the VSA and should submit their initial Letter of Inquiry by September 1, 2023. The second stage is the Grant Application Form, which must be submitted by November 1, 2023.
