Trump to Host Tribute to his First 100 Days at the Kennedy Center
Tickets for the red carpet event will range between $175 and $1,000
President Trump has announced that The Kennedy Center will play host to an official celebration of his first 100 days in office, with tickets to the event ranging between $175 and $1,000 in price.
Publicity for the event claims that it will feature "an elegant happy hour followed by an exclusive, high-energy party," set within the "prestigious and iconic" venue of The Kennedy Center. The event will take place on April 29, 2025.
The evening will be hosted by Alysia McMillan, who ran for Congress in the 2020 Republican primary in Arizona’s District 29. She came third in that race, and since then has been a staunch fundraiser for the Trump campaign.
The news follows many more layoffs at The Kennedy Center. According to the Washington Post, these included Derek Johnson, the vice president of marketing; Laurie McKay, the vice president of government relations and protocol; and Megan Cikara, the director of campus planning. The entire government relations team and social media team were also made redundant.
"Step in to The Kennedy Center for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration marking President Trump’s first 100 days in office," a statement for the event reads. "Set in the interactive gallery honoring President John F. Kennedy, this unforgettable evening will feature music, gourmet food, an open bar, and a true celebration of America’s bright future. Come together with fellow supporters for a night of patriotism, pride, and a glimpse into the Golden Age of America. Be a part of this historic event!"
