Trump's 100 Day Celebration Moved from Kennedy Center to Virginia Following "Contract Violations"
The event will now be hosted in Arlington, Virginia, and Trump himself will not attend
A celebration to mark President Trump's first 100 days in office, originally to be held at The Kennedy Center, has been moved to a new location at Top of the Town in Arlington, Virginia, with views of Washington, D.C. It will take place on Tuesday, April 29.
The event's reservation at The Kennedy Center was recently canceled on short notice because of unspecified contract violations.
The celebration is still set to be hosted by Alysia McMillan, who ran for Congress in the 2020 Republican primary in Arizona’s District 29. She came third in that race, and since then has been a staunch fundraiser for the Trump campaign.
The event's website reads that this is the "last chance to be a part of something special." It advertises that there will be a number of guest speakers, but that the list is still being finalized.
Trump himself will not be present at the event, but will instead be at a rally in Macomb County, Michigan.
"The space is just that — it's a very wide, open space, has a beautiful view of D.C., but it's like, there's nothing in it," McMillan told the Washington Examiner. "So it's like, OK, now I have to put all the stuff in it, I have to bring the decorations, I have to find that. So it won't be too hard, because what's going to make the space great is all the people that are in it."
