With an career spanning chamber music, teaching, solo performances, and conducting, Simón Gollo is a recording artist with IBS Classical, and is represented by HALAC Artists and Meluk Kultur Management, as a member of the Reverón Piano Trio (with whom his latest album received the Melómano de Oro award in 2023).

Between 2015 and 2024, he held tenured positions at both New Mexico State University and Furman University — his students’ consistent achievements have included winning concerto competitions, gaining admission to renowned music festivals, and excelling in orchestra auditions nationwide.

“I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be joining the esteemed faculty of the College of Music as an associate professor of violin at the University of North Texas in fall 2024,” Gollo said of his new position on Facebook. “I’d like to express my gratitude to my family as well as my life (ensemble) family … for your continuous support.

“This next chapter marks a significant milestone in my career, and I’m eager to bring my passion for music and my violin teaching experience to all the students coming from around the globe to join the College of Music at UNT,” he added. “Thank you to Dean Richmond and the UNT College of Music faculty for the warm welcome I have received.”

Gollo has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall, Kaufmann Concert Hall, National Gallery of Art, Bolívar Hall, Teatro Teresa Carreño, Auditorio Manuel de Falla, and more; plus performed at the BBC Proms, Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, and the Chamber Music Society of Detroit.

Among Gollo’s chamber music collaborators include Alessio Bax, Ricardo Morales, Dmitri Berlinsky, Monique Duphil, Edicson Ruiz, Paul Rosenthal, John Novacek, Alissa Margulis, Jakob Koranyi, Miguel da Silva, Richard Young, Ori Kam, Randolph Kelly, Cuarteto Latinoamericano, and many others.

As a conductor, he has led the Simón Bolívar Chamber Orchestra and will be making his debut with Cuba’s National Symphony Orchestra.
