VC Artist Attacca Quartet Joins MKI Artists
The string quartet is now part of the artist management agency for North American representation
The GRAMMY Award-winning VC Artist Attacca Quartet comprises violinists Amy Schroeder and Domenic Salerni, violist Nathan Schram, and cellist Andrew Yee.
The group has now joined MKI Artists, a full-service artist representation agency founded in 1956, which has been led by John Zion since 2015. The company’s roster includes violinists Rachel Barton Pine and William Hagen, among others.
Attacca Quartet’s acclaimed albums include its 2019 release Orange, in collaboration with Caroline Shaw, which won the 2020 GRAMMY Award for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance; and Evergreen, which won the 2023 GRAMMY in the same category.
The group has performed at Carnegie Hall, Phillips Collection, Chamber Music Detroit, the Ojai Festival, as well as at the Gothenburg Konserthuset, Italy’s MITO Septembre Festival, Sociedad Filarmónica de Bilbao, Strijkkwartet Biennale Amsterdam, Strings of Autumn Festival Prague, Thüringer Bachwochen, Sala São Paulo, Fundación Beethoven, National Theatre of Panamá, and Teatro Mayor.
Formed in 2003, the Attacca Quartet is also a first prize winner at the Osaka, Melbourne, and Coleman Chamber Music Competitions.
“We are honored to join such a fabulous roster alongside so many incredible artists that we love and by whom we are inspired,” the quartet posted on Facebook.
“We have long admired the work that MKI does for their artists and we are excited for all that this new partnership has in store for us,” they added. “We want to sincerely thank our former team at Polyarts for building our global presence over the last few years. We are excited to begin our partnership with John Zion and Alicia Horwitz and the team at MKI!”
