VC Artist Diana Adamyan Performs Bach’s Chaconne
Diana’s single “Chaconne” is now streaming on all platforms including Apple and Spotify
VC Artist Diana Adamyan has premiered a new studio recording and video featuring the Chaconne from J.S. Bach’s Violin Partita No.2 in D minor, BWV 1004.
Written sometime between 1718 and 1720, Bach’s monumental Chaconne is the final and longest movement of the second partita. Historians have speculated that Bach wrote it after learning of his wife Maria Barbara’s unexpected passing while he was away.
“On one stave, for a small instrument, the man writes a whole world of the deepest thoughts and most powerful feelings,” Brahms wrote to Clara Schumann of the Chaconne. “If I imagined that I could have created, even conceived the piece, I am quite certain that the excess of excitement and earth-shattering experience would have driven me out of my mind.”
Produced by Armenian National Music, Diana’s “Chaconne” is now streaming here. Watch the video below!
