The disc was recorded with conductor Jannette Sorrell and the Grammy-winning baroque ensemble Apollo's Fire, which is this season celebrating its 30th anniversary

The Violin Channel, in conjunction with Avie Records, is this week giving away five personally autographed copies of Spanish-born VC Artist Francisco Fullana's newly released "Vivaldi The Four Seasons" CD.

The CD features Vivaldi's Four Seasons Concerti coupled with a new chamber orchestra arrangement of Vivaldi's "La Follia" Trio Sonata in D Minor for Two Violins & Continuo, with the ensemble and violinist Alan Choo.

"We turned it into more of a group-jam session,’ Apollo’s Fire Founder and piece arranger Jeannette Sorrell said.

The Apollo’s Fire ensemble was founded in 1992 by the harpsichordist and conductor with a strong dedication to the baroque ideals.

"I grew up listening to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons practically on loop anytime that I was in my parents’ car," Francisco told The Violin Channel.

"My biggest hope in this recording is that the listener rediscovers Vivaldi as a human being: A mysterious man, full of joy yet at times, deeply frustrated and ashamed of his own desires. A person that tries to hide his real self behind a golden mask made of beautiful catchy melodies and virtuosic trills," the 2018 Avery Fisher Grant recipient said.

All incomplete entries will be disregarded and not eligible for entry.

Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
Winners will be chosen at random using randomization software.
The winner will be notified by email within 7 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
