VC LIVE | 2022 Classic Strings Cello Competition Final Round [LIVE NOW]

 

We're coming to you from the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Music Hall in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for the Final Round of the 2022 Classic Strings Cello Competition.

Over the two day Final Round, each finalist will perform alongside the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.

This year's yury comprises: Dominique de Williencourt (France), Boris Andrianov (USA), Suren Bagratuni (USA), Alexander Chaushian (Armenia/UK), Henri Demarquette (France), Julian Lloyd Webber (UK), Philippe Muller (France), Martti Rousi (Finland), Meehae Ryo (South Korea) and Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi (Japan).

The Violin Channel recently spoke with the President of the Classic Strings Competition, Konstantin Ishkhanov.

 

The 2022 cello finalists are:

The top prize winner of the Cello Competition will be awarded a €50,000 cash prize, along with a tour of ten concerts with an honorarium of €5,000 per concert. There will also be prizes for the first and second runner-ups, as well as a number of special prizes in recognition of different achievements throughout the competition.
