We're coming to you from the Salle Bourgie in the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts for a broadcast of concerts from the 2022 Montréal Chamber Music Festival.
Founded in 1995 by Artistic Director, Denis Brott, the Montréal Chamber Music Festival has presented more than 300 concerts and featured over 1000 artists from Canada and abroad, reaching an audience of over 110 000 people.
From October 24 to November 21, The Violin Channel will present highlights from the 2022 Festival, featuring performances by VC Young Artist Kevin Zhu, the Jeunes Virtuoses of Montreal, Karina & Friends, Wonny Song, and David Jalbert.

In this concert, Karina Gauvin (soprano), Jeanne Ireland (mezzo-soprano), Joseph Kaiser (tenor), Dominique Côté (bass), Jean-François Normand (clarinet), and Michael McMahon & Olivier Godin (piano four-hands) perform Schubert’s Shepherd on the Rock, Brahms’ Liebeslieder-Walzer for vocal quartet and piano four-hands, and more.

In this concert, Canadian piano duo Wonny Song & David Jalbert perform works by Mozart, Rachmaninov, Ravel and Bernstein, as well as an arrangement commissioned by the Festival for 2 pianos and 2 percussionists.

This performance features violinists James Ehnes and Itamar Zorman, Festival founder cellist Denis Brott, pianist Alon Goldstein, and the Barbican Quartet. This program features the world premiere of Dorman Nigunim, winner of the 2018 Azrieli Music Prize.
