We're coming to you from Brussels, Belgium, for the 2024 Arthur Grumiaux International Violin Competition. Violinists across three age categories will compete for €11,000 worth of prize money in April 2024.
Category I is for candidates born between April 2013 and April 2024, Category II is for candidates born between April 2008 and March 2013, and Category III is for candidates born between April 10, 2002 and March 2008.
The final round of the competition will be accompanied by the Baron AG Foundation Orchestra and conductor Luc Dewez.
In 2024, the competition jury will comprise George Tudorache (president and artistic director of AGIVC), Michael Guttman, Svetlana Makarova, Robin Wilson, and Rūta Lipinaitytė. The pianists playing with the competitors are Philippe Ivanov and Lionel Bams.
