Tune in on June 6 at 7:30 PM (ET) for a special concert featuring all works by Tchaikovsky

We're coming to you from Montreal, Canada, for a special concert hosted by the Montreal Chamber Music Festival, celebrating all works by Pyotr Ilyitch Tchaikovsky. In anticipation for this year's 29th season, The Violin Channel will stream multiple concerts from the 2023 Montreal Chamber Music Festival from April through June.

The concert consists of Tchaikovsky's beloved Piano Trio in A minor, and his well-known Souvenir de Florence, arranged for special string ensemble. Performing artists include violinists Phoenix Avalon, Bora Kim, Byungchan Lee, Eva Lesage, Giora Schmidt, Adrian Steele, Abby Walsh, and Kevin Zhu; violists Lambert Chen, Ryan Davis, Victor Fournelle-Blain, and Devin Moore; cellists Denis Brott, Joshua McClendon, Noémie Raymond-Friset, and Bruno Tobon; double bassist Eric Chappell, pianist Yekwon Sunwoo, and narrators Jean Marchand and Anne-Julie Proulx.

This year, the Montreal Chamber Music Festival will return for their 29th season from June 13 to 23, 2024. The Festival presents eight main programs and five free noon-hour concerts in the beautiful Salle Bourgie, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. The closing concert, on June 23rd, will take place at Maison Symphonique, Place des Arts. You can find out more about this year's program here.
