VC LIVE | Music for Food at the Cleveland Institute of Music
We’re coming to you for a special Music for Food concert direct from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
Featuring musicians from The Cleveland Orchestra and the Cleveland Institute of Music, all proceeds raised from today’s stream will go directly to the Cleveland Kosher Food Pantry — to assist with fighting hunger in the community. Watch the concert here.
It is estimated that 1 in 9 people in the United States struggle with food insecurity, and Music for Food’s concerts, to date, have raised funds to create more than 1.5 million meals.
If you are enjoying the stream, featuring works by Gayane Chebotaryan, Debussy, Eugène Bozza, Ysaye, Brahms, William Grant Still, and Piazzolla, and would like to directly support the Music for Food movement, you can donate now at: https://bit.ly/33BfGop
Established in 2010 by violist Kim Kashkashian, Music for Food aims to raise awareness in the fight against hunger, encouraging musicians to use their artistry to further social justice. You can read more about the story of the movement in our interview with Ms. Kashkashian, here.
