VC LIVE | North Shore Chamber Music Festival Presents: Master’s Guide to Orchestral Auditions

Conductor Daniel Raiskin, Music Director of the Winnipeg Symphony and Slovak Philharmonic, and violinist and concertmaster of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Igor Yuzefovich present a workshop for young artists on the art of preparing for orchestral auditions.

Raiskin and Yosefovich, veterans of auditioning musicians for their orchestras, will provide critical feedback to two emerging young artists on the performance of selected excerpts, and give real world tips on how musicians can prepare for the best audition experience possible.

The workshop will cover what conductors and concertmasters are listening for auditions and how to mentally, and physically, prepare for auditions.
